As inquisitive people, we all have questions. Whether it be something about what we see here on Earth, or even something as complex as what we cannot see and might not fully comprehend, we all will still have questions. The same thing is true for our faith. So many times, these questions about who God is, and what goes on in the world He made just run rampant in our minds. That is why we are taking this next month to focus on some common questions you all have about our faith. We are going to be taking the time to dive deep into the Bible, find out what exactly it has to say on these things, and prayerfully gain some insight and answers. We pray that this series touches you in a way like never before and that you receive some understanding of what the Word of God has to say, but also reassurance in knowing that you are not the only one with questions.
Is Jesus Really The Only Way?
Ask yourself this: when it comes to salvation, is Jesus really the only way? If we are completely and totally honest with ourselves, we would be able to understand that our world is doing a great job projecting a set standard when salvation is involved. We tell ourselves that we are saved through either the good works and deeds we carry out here on Earth, our impact, fame, and popularity, or even solely based on how "good" of a person we perceive ourselves to be.
The problem in going about our lives with that mindset all ties back to what it is rooted in: the world says that our salvation lies within us, and the things we are capable of doing, yet the Bible clearly states that the only way to salvation is through Jesus, and Jesus alone. The One who saved us is the same One who brought salvation. No matter how hard we try, just doing good things or trying to be a good person can never secure the hope of an eternity with the Lord, nor can it free us from the strongholds of bondage we sinners are in. The only answer is Jesus. No gift this world tries to offer can save us, but Jesus can. After all, He is the only way.
END OF THE YEAR MESSAGE FROM GENELLE:
Dearest Philanthropical Faith Family Members,
We are nearing our one year anniversary! This means that for the past (almost) year now, The Philanthropical Faith is still here, and is a great testament of the faithfulness of God, and we want to take some time to reflect on that goodness!
From our very first devotional that came from my favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:6-7, to growing to having members and readers all across the globe, and even establishing not just one, but two flourishing social media platforms, we could not be more grateful! God is good; doing this has been nothing but a labor of love, as I have strived to be intentional in the way I run and manage this devotional, as well as taking the time to deeply study the Word of God, and what I feel Him lay on my heart, and through all of that, He is still good to me!
With this season of old coming to a close, there are incredible and great new things on their way, and I declare over this platform that what is coming for you and me will be greater than the latter, in Jesus' name.
I love you family!
<3 Genelle
