WWJD?

1 John 2:6 (NLT)

“Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did."

When faced with situations in our lives, we believers are can choose to either act upon our fleshly manners or act like Jesus. We then tend to as ourselves this common question, which has been marketed into your basic Christian acronym: WWJD? What would Jesus do? But think about it; what would He do? How would he respond to what is happening in our world and lives, and how can we best respond and look like Him?

Jesus wasn't like everyone else back in His day, and it set Him apart. He was different. Back then, people were overly focused on outward appearances and holiness, while Jesus focused more on heart posture and the internal stances of man. He also sought after the souls of the lost. No matter what situation or circumstance someone found themselves in, Jesus saw the postures of their hearts, not what was around them.

So what would Jesus do? If someone were to say something in contradiction to God's Words or behave a certain way that was not in alignment with the things of God, how would Jesus act, and what would Jesus do?

I know this for sure:

Jesus would dine with sinners.

Jesus would have mercy and compassion on the possessed man.

Jesus would completely forgive the mistakes and lifestyle of the adulterous woman.

Jesus would embrace the ones deemed unclean by society.

Jesus would stoop low enough to the dirty, messy, and nasty feet of those He loves.

Jesus would give a second chance.

Jesus would always respond in love and righteousness.

Jesus, the One we strive to be like, even died for those who would hate and reject Him, and He NEVER thought twice about it. I want to look more like Him. I want to live my life just as Jesus did.
